Instructions for Presentations
Poster Presentations
Poster boards (with push pins and Velcro) will be provided. Each poster board is 2.4 meters wide x 1.2 meters high. The dimensions of your poster must be less than those of the poster boards.
Poster sessions are from 17:40–20:30 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Check the schedule for the day of your presentation. Posters may be installed beginning at 10:00 on the day of the presenter's poster session. All posters must be up by 12:20. Presenters should be in attendance at their posters between 17:40–20:30 on the day of their presentation. Posters must be removed immediately following the poster session. Posters that are not removed will be discarded.
Oral Presentations
Presenters should report to their designated session room 10 minutes before the start of the session to meet the session chair and to have their presentation uploaded to the computer supplied in the session room. The volunteer in the room will upload your presentation for you.
The Conference will supply computers equipped with CD drives and USB ports. Authors must bring their presentation on a CD or USB memory key (flash drive) to the room where their presentation is being given to preload it on the presentation laptop. Authors are free to use their own laptop for their presentation, but must ensure compatibility with the LCD projector prior to the start of their session. The computers will be running Windows XP with MS Office 2007 and the latest version of Acrobat Reader. MS Media Player will be loaded on the computers.
Presentations should be tested in the Speaker Ready Room (room 512h) to ensure that they are compatible with the equipment. No other software will be available for authors to use on the supplied computers. In the event that authors wish to run other software, they will need to bring their own laptops to the presentation.
Speaker Ready Room
The Speaker Ready Room is in the Palais des congrès de Montréal, room 512h and is equipped with audio-visual equipment to preview your presentation. It is open on the following days and times:
Sunday, June 5: 12:00–19:00
Monday, June 6: 07:00–17:30
Tuesday, June 7: 07:00–17:30
Wednesday, June 8: 07:00–17:30
Thursday, June 9: 07:00–13:30
